Visit a historic homestead, Norwegian stabbur, authentic Sami dwelling and handcrafted northwoods structures as you take in the picturesque scenery of Heritage Park. With its well-groomed walking trails, flowerbeds and flags of all nations, Heritage Park is a lovely setting for our own festivals and activities, as well as a venue for private events. Be sure to visit the Civilian Conservation Corps History Center at the park’s edge. Board our trolley for a 2.5-mile ride on the Mesabi Railway to the site of a former mining community known as Glen Location. A glimpse of life into this early mining community has been re-created with historic buildings. Disembark from the 1915 Wilpen Depot to discover an original 1903 location house, bunk house and 1905 Hill’s Finnish board house. Explore the Glen walking trails to observe mining equipment, native flora and fauna and the Glen-Godfrey mine. PLUS: Our mini-golf course is now open for just $2 per round!
