Hours
Minnesota Discovery Center's Museum, gift shop, mini-golf and trolley are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Our Research Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission
Admission is $5 for adults
$3 for students 7-17
Free to children 6 and under
Every Thursday from 5 p.m. to close, admission is free.
Minnesota Discovery Center members receive free general admission. Please visit the Heritage Park and Amphitheater pages of our site for special fees and admission rates to events such as concerts and festivals.
Location
Minnesota Discovery Center is three hours north of the Twin Cities and 1.5 hours north of Duluth. Follow Interstate 35 north to Cloquet, follow U.S. Highway 33 to U.S. Highway 53. Take Highway 53 to Virginia, then follow U.S. Highway 169 west to Chisholm.
Please, use our new entrance. Follow signage through an "upper" parking area toward a mine pit lake. A short driveway leads to our Museum parking area. The entrance is located beneath the blue awning. For special events such as concerts and large venue rentals, we will open the entrance in the "upper parking area" to accommodate high visitor numbers.
