IRON RANGE RESEARCH CENTER ARCHIVES
Government Records
The Iron Range Research Center is a Minnesota Historical Society and State Archives designated government records repository. Collections include public records from cities, townships, school districts and select county records from the Taconite Tax Relief Area.
The research Center also holds records documenting the Superior and Chippewa National Forests in northern Minnesota.
Finding aids and abstracts for a portion of our government records collections are available online. We also maintain an A-Z listing of our Government Records Collections.
Access to the archival manuscript, photograph and map collections requires assistance from the Archivist. Researchers intending to utilize these collections are advised to email or call ahead and make an appointment to ensure availability.
