The Research Center staff invite on a tour of the Research Library and Archives at the Minnesota Discovery Center. One of our staff is available to introduce you to the resources they work with, so tours vary depending on who is available. Learn more about our archival collections (including a tour of the archive, an area normally closed to the public) and our genealogy and regional history materials. Please call ahead for groups.

Digging for Your Roots Genealogy and Local History Conference

Minnesota Discovery Center hosts the 28th annual Digging for your Roots Genealogy Conference on Saturday, Oct 17, 2009. The conference is for genealogical researchers of all levels and cultural resource professionals.

This year's conference theme is "On the Right Track." We'll explore personal stories of research success, talk about using DNA to trace family history, and more. Cost is $35 per person; MDC members receive 10% off.

A sandwich buffet lunch will be offered in our restaurant for $7.95 plus tax.
